Lake Bánki
Who doesn't love a natural lakeside with super services on summer days? Lake Bánki is close enough to Váh that you can visit it anytime you feel like an adventurous activity. You can go swimming, hiking or fishing on the other side of the lake. There is a multifunctional adventure park on the lakeside, while parents relax in the wellness hotel, younger and older children can find new experiences and friends in the adventure park. Covering 7 hectares and averaging 4 metres deep, Lake Bánki is popular with bathers and anglers alike. Typical fish species: carp, crucian carp, bream, amur, perch, pike. The water is also suitable for bathing, and there are beaches and accommodation facilities on the northern side. The lake in the municipality of Bánk is primarily a fishing paradise, with numerous holiday homes in the area. In the summer months, however, it is also used by bathers, as it is a lake with excellent water quality and the surroundings are ideal for relaxation. The lake is surrounded by a narrow footpath, although it is a little wooded in places, a little reedy, but this only adds to the sense of adventure. If you want to spend several days in this fabulous place, you can choose from a range of private accommodation or you can find excellent services in the wellness hotel built next to the lake. Swimming is only allowed in the designated beach area, where the water depth is controlled and it is safe to swim. During the summer months, there are also a number of activities organised by the lake, including concerts and musical evenings. The biggest of these is the Bánki Lake Festival. Bánki Lake can be reached in about an hour's drive from Budapest via the M2 motorway.
