If you are coming into town from Route 2, turn left at the MOL fountain, and continue along the Budapest main road to park conveniently at Géza Király Square or on the Danube bank. From here, the Main Square is a few minutes' walk away .
From Budapest City Gate with the Volán 300 regular service - 1 hour
From Budapest there are regular buses to Vác from Újpest-Városkapu. From the Vác bus station it is a 5-minute walk to Március 15.

- From Budapest Nyugati railway station to Vác/Szob. Zoned train 25 minutes, passenger train 40 minutes
- From Szob you can reach it by trains to Budapest Nyugati railway station
At Budapest Nyugati station, you have to board the zoned train to Szob. In Vác, get off the train and walk along Széchenyi Street to Március 15. tér (Main Square). Train journey time 25 minutes for zoned trains, then 10 minutes easy walk in Vác)

- From Szob on the Eurovelo6 international cycle route via Zebegény - Nagymaros - Verőce
From Dunakeszi, the town can be approached from the south on a cycle path running parallel to the Danube. From the north, you can reach Vác from Szob via Zebegény-Nagymaros-Verőce. From the cycle path, the city centre can be reached via Eszterházy Street, starting at the ferry crossing.
